REVIEW:

Simon Spier is a teenage boy who is struggling to come out to the people around him. Only one person knows he is gay – and Simon doesn’t even know this person’s true identity because they just speak over email. Told through Simon’s perspective, this is a coming of age story that is beautifully told and had me hooked right away. I couldn’t put this book down – so much so that I started and finished this book in one plane ride!

I highly recommend Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda to anyone looking for quick and fun young adult read. You will fall in love with Simon and his bravery pretty quickly – and root for him along the way. I haven’t seen the movie that is based on this book yet (Love, Simon), but I’m definitely glad I read the book before seeing the movie!
